Welcome to Smart Structures and Systems (Thrust Area II) Lab

The INHA Smart Structures and Systems Lab was established by Professor Seung-Bok Choi in 1991. It aims at conduction multi-disciplinary future-trended high technology programs focused on smart material-based mechanical applications(ER/MR Fluids, Shape Memory Alloys, Piezoelectric Materials, Electroactive Polymers). The thrust area-II of Smart Structures and Systems Laboratory is directed by Professor Gi-Woo Kim, and includes a targeted research related to new types of smart materials (e.g., PR fluids, mechno-luminescence materials, carbon nanotube/Graphene etc.), with an emphasis on exploring the development of smart material-based new sensory and actuation systems. Our collaborated lab will continue to explore new research opportunities and to find potential graduate students with the expertise to conduct our on-going research projects. Please feel free to contact if you need further information.
